Three-dimensional tiles where I have been inspired by how to draw a room in perspective. The tiles consist of a positive and a negative of the same form where one protrudes 20mm and the other goes inwards with the same depth. Each tile has a direction and depending on how you alternate between positive and negative shapes, and how to turn them, new surfaces and patterns are created. Depending on how the light falls the different surfaces assumes colors from white to different shades of gray. The light and shadow effects strengthens the three-dimensional effect.
The project was awarded Young Swedish Design 2001.
